Basa Body Coconut Stick Review

I was fortunate enough to be given a chance to do a review on the new Basa Body  Natural Coconut Healing Balm. Just in time too, since it is cold and windy outside, which means  dry and chapped skin for me.

Let me tell you a little bit about Basa Body. All Basa Body products are made with Virgin Organic Coconut Oil that is easily absorbed into the skin and has natural antioxidants that are antimicrobial, antibacterial, and anti-fungal. Basa Body products help promote healing and give skin a healthier, youthful appearance.

Here is the amazing story from their website:

The Basa Body story began years ago with a single trip to Kenya. We connected with wonderful, intelligent women working hard to feed their families. Their small-scale enterprise was called Coast Coconut Farms, where they produced virgin, organic coconut oil by hand.

Intrigued by their commitment, skill, and entrepreneurial spirit, we were determined to help these women tell their story and grow their business. The result is BasaBody, named after the women of Mombasa, Kenya, where Basa’s coconut oil is produced.

As well as providing a sustainable income and employment for the women of Coast Coconut farms, Basa Body also donates 10% of its profits to humanitarian projects in Kenya.

How amazing is that!?  This sounded like a wonderful company with an amazing story, using organic and natural ingredients. I was very excited to try the balm out.

I have been using the balm for almost a week  now and I LOVE it, last week my feet, knees and elbows were very dry and chapped, after applying the balm before bed every night, I can honestly say that they are much softer and no longer chapped and dry.

I love the stick dispenser, it is kind of like a deodorant. I can just pop the cap off, twist it up and apply the healing balm on without getting any on my hands if I don’t want to. The coconut oil and beeswax melts right onto your skin when you apply it.

I got to say, I usually stay away from scented lotions, because most of the time the fragrance is too strong for my liking. However, this balm  has a very faint scent of coconut and beeswax. It is 100% virgin coconut oil, so the smell is very subtle and oh so lovely.

I am very satisfied with this balm and am very excited to see all the products that Basa Body will offer when they launch next month in November!
