Barilla Whole Grain Taste & Share Challenge // Giveaway

We are pastaholics in this house. Tortellini, spaghetti, rotini, fettucine…we eat it all. So since we eat so much pasta, I do my best to make sure they eat whole grains and whole wheat pasta whenever we can. What’s even better is finding ingredients that really jive with our palette!

Barilla has come out with a new line of whole grain pastas and high-end sauces and oils. I received a Barilla Whole Grain Taste & Share Challenge Kit to try them out!

Along with the set of whole grain pastas, I received some delish pasta pairings like pesto, olive oil, and cherry tomatoes. I instantly knew what I’d be making: Penne with pesto and chicken. If I was making it for just me, I’d have thrown in some mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, and Parmesan too! But my kids are picky little stinkers, so I toned it down.

Since they’re choosy, I was a little nervous about the whole grain pasta, but they wolfed it down! It was a huge hit!

Definitely a make-again meal! It was super easy. I just cooked the chicken in a skillet with a bit of the olive oil, boiled the pasta, and combined the chicken and pesto into the noodles.     We like the rotini the best at our house! I love the Whole Grain Medium Shells shape! My favorite shape is spaghetti … sometimes the traditional are the best! I love rotini!
