Maisy is such a little stinker, I swear. At only 8 months, she’s figured out that spoons are too passe’ — she’s too modern for those silly rubber coated things. Put a spoon near her mouth and she’ll clam up her little mouth in defiance. She just hates spoons! I swear!
Mostly, I think she’s defiant because she wants to be the one to feed herself. So while this has limited us to finger foods thus far, I was so pumped when a friend told me about Peter Rabbit Organics. Now, I’d seen baby food pouches in the grocery store before, but never of the organic variety, or with so many different food blends and combinations! I mostly see applesauce blends in the grocery stores, but Peter Rabbit Organics has veggie blends, too! This is really important to me, since I don’t want Maisy to just fall in love with fruit and reject the taste of vegetables.
Here’s a little bit of info about Peter Rabbit Organics as a company:
Peter Rabbit Organics is a small, privately-owned company. We are passionate about what we do and have a lot of fun working together! We started Peter Rabbit Organics for the simple reason that we found it hard to find healthy snacks with no added salt, sugar or artificial ingredients. We wanted to create a product that was healthy, delicious, convenient and suitable for both you and your little ones. We never cut corners and ensure that whatever we make gets a full thumbs up from all the team and our special taste testers before it goes into the stores.
All our products are produced in Oregon, USA and where possible we use local ingredients sourced from within the US.
I LOOOOVE that they are so passionate about being American made with quality ingredients. After all, I want to give my baby the best! Plus, I’d much rather give my money to a small company than to a giant corporation.
Maisy isn’t the only one who loves feeding herself Peter Rabbit Organics. Micah, my 2 year old, is hooked. Seriously. I have to fight him for them! If he sees me grab a pouch out of the fridge (they can be served at room temp, too — we just keep them cold as a preference), he goes ballistic. It’s now pretty normal to have Maisy in her high chair with a pouch and Micah next to her with a pouch of his own! The best part? He doesn’t know he’s eating veggies. Muahahaha!
