So the legend goes like this: When my mom was pregnant with my little sister, I was a rambunctious little 4 year old. I had begged and begged to be taken to Disney World, but with the impending arrival of the new baby, it was clearly not in the cards for the immediate future. Devastated, I was! So my mom told me, “When you’re 10, and the new baby turns 6, we will go to Disney World.”
Evidently I spent the next however many weeks leading up to delivery talking to my mom’s belly, reciting, “When you’re 6, and I’m 10, we’re going to Disney World!”
It might have been the only thing that kept me from hating my new baby sister in the early days.
I kid! I really love my sister. And I love my parents, too. ‘Cause they followed through on that promise. When we both reached the appropriate ages, we got on a plane for the very first time and flew to Walt Disney World in Orlando. It. was. glorious. We met Mickey, we swam, we went to all the parks, and had a grand ol’ time with each other. That’s the thing about Disney and Florida vacations — they always make you feel warm and fuzzy inside!
Know what else is stellar about Florida? The fact that Tropicana Pure Premium 100% Pure Florida Orange Juice comes from there. Did you know that Tropicana uses groves in 22 different Florida counties, mostly in central and southern Florida? Pretty neat! They’re also the single largest buyer of Florida fruit! So you know that when you buy Tropicana, you’re getting 100% Pure Florida Orange Juice.
Right now, Tropicana is hosting a sweepstakes where you can win 100 Florida prizes, including one-year-supplies of Tropicana (in the form of twelve 59 oz Tropicana Pure Premium containers) and a trip to Florida to visit an orange grove. Uh, yes please! Free OJ AND a trip to the Sunshine State?! You’re gonna want to enter this one! Like Tropicana on Facebook and enter here!
That one Disney World trip started a tradition, and to date, my family as a whole has been on about 10+ Disney Vacations. You could say that Florida really won us over! We absolutely love visiting the state, and are always super sad to have to come back home. My husband and I even honeymooned at Walt Disney World!
Do you have any Florida memories? I’d love to hear them in a comment!
