  3. Sara Logan says

I am not yet a Mom, but I love my Mom with all my heart. I have always been super close with both my parents. I have my Mom’s initials (CML) tattooed on the inside of my left wrist, and my Dad’s initials (JAL) on the inside of my right wrist. They were my first two tattoos. But anyways…my Mom gets me like no other. She can always tell how I’m feeling by just her intuition. She has a super strong intuition that is always right, which I admire. She has always been there for me and always will be, and I her.

My mom is fantastic in so many ways. She is always there for me – whether it’s encouragement, support, kindness, love, or a “Gibbs” on the the back of the head, she knows what I need! She is one of my best friends, there aren’t many days that go by that we don’t talk to each other. She has been the perfect role model for me, when it came time to raise my own kids. I hope my kids think half as good of me as I do of my mom.

I love being a Mum for all the rewards it holds. I gave birth to a beautiful daughter 24 years ago and actually fell in love with her when I first saw her. I am not only her Mum but we are best friends as well. She has been nothing but a joy to me. I am now pregnant with my second child, yes, 24 years later and am due to give birth to a baby boy on July 6th…right between my fiance’s and my birthdays, and I can only hope it will be as rewarding, fulfilling and enjoyable as with my first.

  9. kimbuckjr says

Like Susan Peck, my mom was (and still is) my BEST FRIEND. I lost my mom in 2000 to LUPUS! She suffered a great and knowing that she’s with God now puts my emotions a little more at ease. I miss my mom every single second of every single day. She was a single, full-time working mom and sacrificed so much so I can have what I have now.

  10. Kristy Babcock says

My mom is really my best friend and I couldn’t have had a better role model growing up. She worked 2 and sometimes 3 jobs to keep a roof over our head, food in our bellies, and clothes on our backs. She always made it to my brother and myself’s sporting events too. Being a mother to one child myself now, I have no idea how she did it all, but I love her for it.

She raised 7 kids all on her own no child support nor any help from the state and that was before being a single parent was really heard of! Since I was little I was unfortunate to have to watch my entire pass away and as of easter it was the 1o year anniversary of the death of my mother and last of my family to pass on. It was a very tragic passing and I still have never gotten over it. As a child I had always wanted children and was told at a young age my chances were slim to none of having them. Well, I am disabled now with a horrible condition that is slowing wearing me down and causes me extreme pain but with that I got the best gift of all. I have 4 beautiful children now !! 3 girls and 1 boy and i am one of the happiest mothers in the world. We dont have much and we have to cram into a tiny place but we have a love that is larger than life and with that we handle the world!

  38. Kristie Betts says

I’m a mother of 3 kids (none of them were planned), but I wouldn’t change one moment. Yes they argue, yes they hit and throw things at each other, they even call each other names. When it’s all said and done they all know that if they need something or need help they can always count on each other. I love being a mom I get to watch them grow and overcome some much with their siblings help, and when it happens I know I did something right. All of family member compliments me and my kid on their behavior and how well they get along and there’s no better feeling than having someone telling you that you’re doing such a good job with your kids, atleast now days.

  39. says

What I love most about being a mom is the little things – snuggling on the couch while watching a movie, a kiss on the cheek for no reason, hearing the kids giggling out in the yard as they are playing. My oldest is graduating from high school this year and I am constantly reminded how quickly it all goes by.

as for being a mom. It has it highs and lows, mostly I would say that through the trials and tribulations of my own life, it has been my children, who un-knowingly have kept me driven and focused. I have not given up, even when I have wanted to, because of them.

When I became pregnant I never new how much it would change my life in every way. I have two children a girl and a boy and I also have a grand daughter now. I had always wanted six or seven children but it just didn’t work out that way. Looking back on it I know that there had to be a reason why I couldn’t have any more than I did. I think the reason was that my two children enriched my life so much I truly needed to concentrate on them in every way. Being a mom is the best thing in the world I can’t explain how wonderful it makes me feel. Know that I am a grand ma the love just can’t be contained. Know that my daughter feels the same way about being a mom let’s me know I did my job.
