We’re out of week 2 on Nutrisystem, and we are getting healthier by the second! I really feel like Andrew and I are finding our groove, and eating on the Nutrisystem plan is coming to us naturally. This week, I ventured further into the Chef’s Table meals and I love them! I am a picky eater, so I was a little nervous about the fancy pants sounding meals, but they are delicious! My favorite by far is the Whole Wheat Ricotta Crepes for sure. They are awesome!
I have been really pushing myself when it comes to being more active. For 5 days this week, I have strapped a kid (either the 2o pound 1 year old or the 33 pound 3 year old) on to my back in my Boba carrier, and put the other kid into a stroller and walked about 2.3 miles a day, averaging about 3.0 miles per hour. That’s pretty fast for having all of those kids hangin’ off of me! ;) I love how I feel after I finish my walk, and I love that I’m including my kids in my exercise — my 5 year old will bike the whole way along side me! It may be too lofty of a dream, but I would love to return to Disney World (Andrew and I’s favorite place to travel) and participate in a RunDisney event, totally decked out in running appropriate costuming, of course ;).
I’ve found that the Nutrisystem iPhone app is my new best friend — I love that I can easily log my food, water, exercise, and more with the swipe of a finger. It’s so easy, and it helps me keep track of where I am in the day. It has all of the Nutrisystem meal information pre-programmed — easy peasy!
Andrew travels for work often, and yesterday he left for his first trip since starting the Nutrisystem plan. I helped him line up his food for the week, and he packed it nicely into his carry on:
Really terrifying, right? Well, he sent his bag through the x-ray machine, and the TSA opened it up and was flabbergasted by his food! After a second scan, they deemed it safe to fly — and one of the agents even asked him, “How’s that Nutrisystem working?” Haha!
So, how is it working?
I lost 3.6 pounds last week, bringing my total to 7.4 pounds! That puts me at 200.0 pounds — next week I’ll be out of the 200s! Woohoo! Andrew lost 2 pounds last week, bringing his total to 10 pounds! Incredible.
