Start Simple, Start Right with Kellogg’s Cereals

I’ve been taking a long hard look at the foods that I serve to my family. With three growing kids, I need to make the best choices possible to give them a healthy foundation to grow on! Our mom’s were right — breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Kids are always on the go, both mentally and physically, and they need a whole, simple, nutritious breakfast to get them going.

From Seed to Spoon

Kellogg’s cereals have always been in our pantry, and with their Start Simple, Start Right promise, I know I’m making a great choice for my family. Kellogg’s knows that simple, wholesome ingredients mean a better breakfast, and pride themselves on bringing their cereals to you from Seed to Spoon. Here’s how Kellogg’s keeps your food as whole and pure as possible:

We love our Kellogg’s cereals — Raisin Bran is a pantry staple, and Emma could ear Corn Flakes for every meal of the day if I let her! Check out these videos that outline exactly how Kellogg’s creates their rice, wheat, and corn cereals. They’re really interesting and worth a watch!

I love mixing it up and using Kellogg’s cereals in unique ways. One of our favorite fun meals is to have breakfast for dinner. The kids really get a kick out of having orange juice, cereal, and fruit for dinner! And, of course, there’s always the ever-popular Rice Krispie treats! Another great idea is to use crushed Corn Flakes as the coating for healthy oven fried chicken! These are so much healthier than deep frying, and my kids love them just as much. Think outside the box!

There’s so many great varieties to choose from:

So what exactly goes into these cereals? Check it out!
Those are things I can pronounce! I feel so good about serving these to my family. Gone are the days where my kids would beg for the sugary cereals that are loaded with artificial colors and sweeteners. Not to mention listening to the snap, crackle, and pop of Rice Krispies is too fun to pass up :). Do you have a favorite cereal? What about your kids?
I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Kellogg’s. I received sample products to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item as a thank-you for participating.
