Shopping for Royalty: Our Disney Princess Shopping Experience #DisneyPrincessWMT #Cbias #SocialFabric

This year, my two older kiddos (Emma and Micah) wanted to pick out Maisy’s presents — and I was on board! Maisy is in full-on Disney Princess mode, and I told the kids that she’d really, really love some Disney Princess items. It’s truly the cutest thing — Maisy sings along with the princess songs, and my heart just melts.

We headed to Walmart to pick out the gifts, and we intentionally waited until I knew Maisy would be sleepy. Just as I suspected …

photo 1 the second Out like a light! That left us a good hour-long window to pick out her presents :). Time to shop ’til you drop, kids! We had gone into the store through the Outdoor Living area, and we immediately saw the bikes. Emma has really loved riding her bike, and I knew she would instantly want to get Maisy one, too. I told her that if she was willing to wait for Maisy to grow into it, we could get it.

photo 2 That’s one proud big sister right there! Tassels? Check! Baby doll seat? Check! Awesome family time? CHECK! I can’t wait to see her take off on her bike!

We headed to the main toy area, and Micah was ready to do some toy pickin’! At first, he was trying to convince me to get her a tractor (…I think you want that, bud!), but when he saw these beauties…

photo (87) it was love at first sight. He shouted, “Those! Those!” and we popped one into the cart. I like that this is a toy she’ll be able to use right away! It’s not too big, so we can keep it inside, too!

I’ve been wanting to get the girls a real doll house for a while. They love to play with their Disney Princess dolls, and I know they would sit and play in a magical, imaginary world for hours and hours if they had one! There’s something really special about an age where make believe isn’t something impossible, you know? So I spotted this Cinderella MagiClip Castle, and I knew it would be perfect! Since my girls are 5 and 18 months, I didn’t want to get one that would be too tall for Maisy.

photo (73) So perfect! I absolutely love it. It even comes with Cinderella, and three outfits to dress her for whatever she might be doing that day — royal ball, house work, you know. The usual.

What’s really awesome is that you can download the Royal Ball Augmented Reality app, and use it in-store and at home! I downloaded it a few days before we went shopping to check it out, and I fell in love. I mean, it made me feel like a princess! I got to pick out a dress, tiara, shoes, and choose what my carriage would look like. Then, we opened up the app at our Walmart store and saw that there was so much more to do! Once you get there, you can take photos of Cinderella signage and unlock more outfits and options for your Royal Ball!

One thing that I thought was awesome was finding a Cinderella Diamond Edition Blu-Ray and DVD Combo Pack, and holding it up in front of my phone. Like magic, the carriage I made appeared on my screen and would move around as I moved the DVD! Look!

photo (3) There were so many fantastic Disney Princess and Cinderella toys, but I’m really happy with what we picked out! The kids are excited to see Maisy open them, and I can’t wait to enjoy them with her this holiday season!
