Rachel’s Bake Shop: My New Favorite Local Sweet Treat Spot!

I love supporting local businesses, and I love cupcakes. So naturally, when I found out about Rachel’s Bake Shop here in Queen Creek, Arizona, I had to try them out!

rbs-logo Rachel’s Bake Shop is, as the name suggests, owned and operated by Chef Rachel Broughten. As an alumna of Le Cordon Bleu College, Chef Broughten’s expertise lies in pastries, centerpieces and cake décor. Rachel’s Bake Shop was founded to bring delectable pastries, confections, and cakes to the greater Phoenix area at a price suited for every budget.

Bring on the cupcakes!

I can’t let you go a second more without seeing these beautiful cupcakes! I knew that my kids would instantly gravitate towards the Vanilla Sprinkle…

I have seriously never had a cupcake so moist and delicious! Maisy loved the frosting especially ;). In the background, you’ll see the best blueberry muffin you’ve ever come across. That bad boy was all mine! It had the chunky sugar (like my technical terminology?) on the top, and that is my FAVORITE part about muffins! YUM!

kids Rachel's Bake SHop The kids devoured their cupcakes! I wish they would’ve gotten different varieties so I could try a few bites. Rachel makes her version of a chocolate Hostess cupcake that looked absolutely amazing!

Andrew had a Cranberry Almond cookie that didn’t make it home — he had it in the car, haha! I didn’t even get a chance to take a picture of it. He finished it, looked over at me and said, “Well. Rachel knows how to bake a cookie!” He’s hard to impress, so that means a lot coming from him!

Here’s some more shots of the goodies that Rachel’s Bake Shop creates!

The bakery is located inside local restaurant, EggsTc. We had breakfast there, and once we sat down my kids started being kids and were a little noisy. I was shushing them and trying to keep other diners in mind. An older woman came up to me and said, “It’s okay, Mom. This is a family friendly restaurant!” I felt so relieved! I still needed to keep my kids in line of course, but it helped knowing that other patrons weren’t glaring at me or cursing me under their breath while I contained my travelling circus :).

EggsTc Burrito

That, my friends, is a burrito the size of my forearm. Don’t worry, I only ate about 1/4 of it, and saved the rest! Wow!
