Weigh in Wednesday Week 28: Let’s get ready to Diet Bettttt!

Can you pretend to read that post title in the same way that you’d say “LET’S GET READY TO RUMBLEEE!” I’d appreciate it ;). I took my weigh in photos for the February Freckleberry Finds Diet Bet, and I was kind of pissed about the numbers, to be honest. I’m going to start using my old scale, because I think it’s more accurate (although it weighs heavier than my other one), and it’s got a bigger display. I’m going to start taking photos of my piggies on the scale with each weigh in update. I wish I would’ve thought to do that from the beginning!

Diet Bet Start WeightThis was after I’d had a litre of water, and two whole wheat pancakes, so I’m taking it with a grain of salt. I weighed myself first thing in the morning like usual, and it was 165.4, so I’m okay with this. I’m using 167.6 as my starting weight for the Diet Bet, which starts on Friday! There’s still time to join, too!┬áHere’s my full body mirror shot that I submitted to Diet Bet for my initial weigh in picture:

This week feels like it’s been going on and on and on forever and ever and ever. I did a lot this week, but not a lot at the same time. I haven’t gone on a run since I ran The Color Run on Saturday, mostly because I don’t have anyone to watch the kids while I go. I am planning on starting Hal Higdon’s 10k training program on Monday, and I think I’ve found my race. It’s on April 27, which is 12 weeks away from this Saturday. The Hal Higdon program is 8 weeks long, but I figure I would rather have extra time then not enough! There is a 10k that’s 7 weeks away, but I don’t want to push it. I may just do the 5k for that race!

I made my weekly batch of whole wheat pancakes yesterday, and yes, I’m still addicted ;).

IMG_1662[1]Blueberries were my addition of choice for the week! I love when they burst on the skillet, and then seep all the yummy blueberry juice into the pancake. Mmm, mmm! I have done so much better this week when it comes to eating at home. I haven’t gone out to eat at all since Saturday! That seems like not a very long time, but we literally eat at a restaurant almost daily, and so it’s big for me. I got a new kitchen scale that I can’t wait to tell you guys about (I’ll be giving one away! Woo!), and it’s been so awesome to know exactly how much food I’m eating, and how many points are in each serving.

Speaking of points. I’ve officially begun tracking Points Plus again. I still enter all of my food on My Fitness Pal, because let’s be honest — their database is amazing — and then I just use the Weight Watchers calculator to figure out the points plus of each food item. I’m allowed 27 PP per day, and it’s hard to eat them all some days, and some days I am over. It’s taking a bit to get my bearings straight, but I’m excited to be tracking PP again!

    You look so awesome and have been an inspiration to me. You are the reason that I have had a kick butt week on my “lifestyle change” diet. I am also tracking my calories on myfitnesspal but everyday when I add my calories plus my excerise it tells me that I am in starvation mode and going to gain weight. What the heck, I thought you weren’t supposed to eat when you aren’t hungry so what do you do?

    I hate my scale too! That is an awesome idea to take a photo of you standing on the scale. No one, including me, would be impressed with my numbers at this point. I hope the running program goes great for you!! Maybe this next race won’t be as soggy!
