The lilac color hasn’t hung around too much, but it looks amazing and I love it. I am so, so happy that I grew out my pixie cut. It was fun and all, but I don’t think it’s for me!
Eat ALL THE FOOD!
So this week has been absolutely insane. I decided to try something new and rather difficult for me. I told myself that I would eat ALL of my points plus. I initially set out to eat the all — daily, weekly, and activity (holy crap), but I couldn’t do it. I ate all of my weekly except for leaving one or two on a few days. I dipped into two weekly points on one of my days, though. I only earned 7 activity points this week, though.
So I ate differently this week. I mean, really differently. I had foods that I wouldn’t have ever had previously. On President’s Day, we all had the day off, so we trekked into Mesa to go to the Bass Pro/Outdoor World and browse. By the time we were done, it was lunch time, so we ate at a Cracker Barrel nearby. I could literally eat Cracker Barrel for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Thankfully, it’s really far away so we don’t go there often. I think this is the first time we’ve gone since moving here, actually!
At any rate, we sat down and I decided that I was going to get whatever struck my fancy. I had pretty much all of my weekly points left, and I wanted something that was gluttonous. I ordered three buttermilk (!!!) blueberry pancakes (in my true pancake obsessed fashion). Eggs and sausage came with it, but I knew I wouldn’t be able to eat them, so that was for Maisy. I got her turkey sausage :).
My pancakes arrived and smelled like heaven. The butter had burned a crater into the top pancake, just like I like it. I ended up eating a little more than 1/2 of the stack. The whole meal was 25 Points Plus, and worth every bite.
So did eating all of your points work?
Long story short — YES. There were nights where I was totally cool with heading to bed, but I had 4 or 5 points still remaining. So I’d make some popcorn or have a little dessert. Each night, I would tell myself, “You’re going to pay for this tomorrow.” But then tomorrow came, and I would have lost weight.
It’s crazy talk.
Like last night! We were out and about all evening, and didn’t get home until 8:00. That’s late for us! We are usually in bed by then. So we all just had cereal. Then I realized that I still had a bunch of points. So guess what? Carrot cake. In mah belleh.
The Weigh In
This week, I weighed in at 159.8. That means this week alone, I lost 4.6 pounds! WHAT IN THE HECK, YOU GUYS. That’s incredible! and I ate PANCAKES. and CARROT CAKE. I’m definitely going to stick with eating all of my points from here on out! So now, my grand total is 47.6 pounds. The fifty pound mark is so close I can taste it…
It tastes like Cracker Barrel.
