Wednesday Weigh In Week 34: The elusive fifty.

Lose 50 PoundsHells YES I’ve lost 50 pounds! I can’t believe it sometimes. It takes looking at before and after (during) photos of myself to help me realize just how far I’ve come. In celebration of hitting one of my biggest goals, I’ve got an updated photo for you guys!

This just blows my dang mind, you guys. I know you have seen me in this same workout outfit a bazillion times (I really need some new tech shirts!), but I wanted to show you the difference in my body as much as possible. And is anyone else checking out my butt? ‘Cause I am. Thank you, squats! I’ll be adding a bazillion more of those to my workout agenda, thankyouverymuch.

Stuff that’s going on:

I am dreading the heat of the summer, so I’m trying to get my running in as much as possible. In case you missed my last post, I’m an Omron Running Challenge Ambassador! So in addition to some killer core, leg, cardio, and other workouts, I’ll be running like a mad woman.

I went out for a run two nights ago after dark, and it was plenty scary. I’m glad I went out and did it, but I will not be running after nightfall again! First, I had to run without my music so that I could be aware of my surroundings. That right there makes a run feel about eleventymillion times more drawn out than it really is. All of this paired with a truck that was driving past me two or three times a little too slow for comfort made me book it home. I’m probably a paranoid freak, but I will be buying pepper spray to carry with me on my runs!

The Weigh In

This week, I weighed in at 157.4 pounds, a 0.8 pound loss for the week — but MORE IMPORTANTLY, that brings my total to 50 pounds even!

So what’s next?

Time to update my goal! Now it’s my ultimate, final goal weight: 145. I don’t know how long it will take me, but I’m going to get there!

    Ashley that is awesome and you look great!!! You are such an inspiration to me and I am trying to get into better shape after having a baby 6 months ago. What kind of exercise did you do when you first started and what do you think helped slim down your abs the best? I’d love to know. Keep up the good work!!!

    So, I was TOTALLY going to leave a random comment about how great your bum looks… but then I thought it might come across pervy. Then I read this post and decided to post after all. I’m adding squats to my daily to-do list! Great job, you inspire me SO much! I have 40-50lbs to lose and your pics and posts help me to see how much difference losing those pound will make. Thanks!! :)

    Thank you for sharing your progress- such awesome motivation!!! After my 3rd baby, my body settled at about 220 lbs. and an embarrassing 47% body fat! It has taken a year to get down to 175 lbs and 38% body fat. I have 12 lbs to go til I’m at pre-preggo weight, but I REALLY want to get down to 150 so badly. I am almost finished with Jillian’s 30 day shred and I’m loving all the squats she has me do. What would you say is one thing that has helped you the most or made the most difference in your fitness journey?
