Tired doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel. Man! Last night I slept like a rock. I fell asleep at like, 9:00, and I swear to you I didn’t move a muscle until my alarm went off at 6:45. I probably could’ve slept for hours past that, even. Best sleep ever.
On Monday the 25th, I decided to whip out the 30 Day Shred and do it. I hadn’t done it in AGES — like, back when I was 200+ pounds. Holy crap it’s amazing how much easier it is when you’re not obese, haha! It’s still not easy, but I don’t feel like I’m going to die at the end of it at least.
This was on day 6. The last day I did it was on Sunday, day 7. It was actually pretty cool to feel the soreness shift in my legs as the week went on, ha! I’m still focusing on running (it’s my goal to run a half by the end of the year — I can totally do it!), but I also want to get STRONG. I want to be toned, and I want to be able to kick someones ass if I had to ;). So I’m starting small, but eventually want to lift, and lift heavy. Anyone have pointers for a n00b like me?
I know it was only seven days, but I really was able to feel a difference in my waist and in my arms. I wanted to go through the 3o days, solid, but I started work on Monday and I was so wiped out. It’s going to be an adjustment for sure, but I am totally loving it so far!
The Weigh In
I’m going to keep this short because it’s 11:15 PM as I’m writing this, and I’m literally falling asleep as I type. I weighed in this morning at 158.2 pounds, a 1.8 pound loss for the week! That puts me at a total of 49.2 pounds. OMG, BODY. JUST LET ME HIT 50 ALREADY! ;)
