A few months ago, we cut the cord. We finally kicked DirecTV (and their $170/month bill!) to the curb. Now, we get our TV on with Netflix! I was nervous about the switch at first, because I really rely on the preschool programming in the mornings — sometimes I just need to get a little work done, y’know? But I have been pleasantly surprised by Netflix!

So what do they have on Netflix, anyway?

A lot of stuff, that’s what! We’re big on Disney in our house, so I was so pleased to see that Netflix has added a ton of Disney programming like Cars Toons: Mater’s Tall Tales, Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue, and Jake and the Never Land Pirates. I was even more pumped to see some of the classics like The Aristocats, 101 Dalmations, and Pocahontas! I may or may not sing “Colors of the Wind” at the top of my lungs. I get a kick out of embarrassing my daughter, that’s for sure ;)!

There’s other great shows from Hasbro as well — My Little Pony, anyone? Everypony loves My Little Pony! Micah is a huge Transformers Prime fan, too. What little boy wouldn’t love to watch Thomas & Friends: Go Go Thomas?! And there might have been an afternoon where I watched a couple seasons of Powerpuff Girls — there’s TONS of fun Cartoon Network classics available, too!

Mostly, we use Netflix on our smart TVs (TVs with WiFi capabilities and apps), our iPhones, and our iPad. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had to whip out a rescue episode of Angelina Ballerina while we’re waiting for a table at a restaurant or while we’re stuck in traffic on our commute home. It’s become invaluable to us, and I can’t imagine what it’d be like if someone said we couldn’t use Netflix on our mobile devices any more! Don’t have a smartphone? You can always watch on Netflix.com!

What are you watching on TV with your family? Netflix has family favorites from Disney, Disney Jr., Hasbro, Cartoon Network and Dreamworks that are available to stream anytime, anywhere.

And streaming is easier than you think! Download the free app on your iPad, click on the Netflix app on any gaming device, go to the website on your computer – and you’re in business. Check it out here!
