Last week I talked about how great it felt to be on track, in the groove, and back in the game. The same still rings true for this week! I’ve tracked my food every single day, and I’ve so well with eating on track!
This week has been exceptionally busy. Not only did I start working from the office (which means an hour+ commute each way), but Emma also started school on Wednesday! Tuesday night, I swear, I started prepping everything for the next morning and it took me a solid two and a half hours to get lunches made, clothes set out, kids bathed and put in bed, and all of my work ducks in a row. I’m really pumped that she’s back in school (first grader, what what!), and she missed it a lot, too. I’m sure I’ll adjust to the busy mornings in time. I know that my mornings are just going to get earlier when I start my official training plan for my half marathon, because I’ll be running in the mornings. Have I mentioned how incredibly nervous I am about that, yet? Well let me just say that I’m pretty terrified. I fear that my body will give out or fail me somehow, and I will be so. upset. if my body holds me back.
Andrew and I rarely (and I mean like, Heart of the Ocean rare) get to go out on a date night, mostly because we don’t really have a lot of family close by to help out with the kids. My sister-in-law lives here, but she’s about to have a baby of her own any day now (I’m gonna be an aunt!), so I couldn’t ask her to take on all three of my kidlets. But last Friday, Andrew messaged me from upstairs (lol, technology) and asked if I wanted to go see The Conjuring that night.
Let me tell you one thing first: I do not do scary movies. When he and I went to Disney World for our honeymoon, I was nervous about going on The Haunted Mansion ride, and as I hemmed and hawed about whether I wanted to ride, a gaggle of 6 year olds passed us in line. I’m a certified wuss when it comes to paranormal stuff. But I agreed, and we headed to a theatre near the kids’ preschool. It was a super gorgeous theatre, and I used it as my cheat meal. I had a chicken caesar salad (on plan), a gargantuan slice of Death by Chocolate cake (helllooooo, weeklies!), and I split a Bangkok Monkey mixed drink with Andrew (weekly-tastic).
One: I am a light weight.
Two: Alcohol + paranormal movies = interesting experience.
The movie was really good, and I had such a good time with Andrew. It was so worth the weekly points I used!
The Weigh In
I was crazy busy yesterday, so I didn’t get a chance to weigh in. I woke up this morning and instantly remembered that I wanted to hop on the scale. I swear, my heart was pounding out of my chest when I was waiting for the numbers to settle down long enough to get the reading.
I looked down, and saw this:
I’m pretty sure I was three milliseconds from passing out.
ONE FORTIES, BITCHACHOS!
I can’t believe I’m within 5 pounds of my goal weight. This week, I weighed in at 149.8, which is a 2.8 pound loss for the week, bringing my total weight loss to 57.6 pounds. Unbelievable. Tomorrow marks the one year anniversary of my very first weight loss post. Reading that now makes me feel so incredibly proud of myself. I don’t feel sad for this girl anymore.
I won’t forget how I felt at that weight, though. I never, ever, will. It’s been a wild year, you guys. I can’t wait to see where the next year takes me.
