Just a little PSA for any of you who are thinking about slacking off and letting yourself go. When you gain back weight that you’ve already busted your ass to lose, the process is twice as hard, twice as emotionally trying, and twice as sucky.
With that out of the way, I think I can say that I’ve had an okay week! On Monday, my office started a weight loss challenge, and I signed up. There’s some stiff competition, and I might not have a chance at winning, but I’m doing my damnedest to hold my own. I’ve only had a handful of Diet Dr. Peppers this week, too!
I’ve been twiddling my thumbs with excitement and nerves (okay mostly nerves), because this Sunday is the PF Changs Rock ‘n Roll Half Marathon! My second half! Again, I always feel like I could have trained better, and I know I could have, so I’m apprehensive about how I will do during this race. I’m going to stick with the 3:00 pace setter and hope for the best. I ran on Sunday, and kept a good pace to put me at the finish line around 2:56:
By the way — have I shown you guys my and my sister’s shirts for the race?!
Mean Girls, anyone? I feel so old knowing that that movie is ten years old!!
The Weigh In
Last Wednesday, I weighed in at 160.4. Today, I weighed in at 159.8. That gives me a loss of .6 pounds this week! That means I’m back at 47.6 pounds lost since July 2012. I’m eager to hit the fifty pound loss mark — again!
