I know you couldn't bear for me to be away for yet another week, right? ;) Well! I took a little breather, and am doing my best to make sure that I have enough hours in the day to work, be with my family, be a mom and wife, and also actually have time to WORK OUT so I can then BLOG about it! People tell me all the time, "I don't know how you do it!" Neither do I, folks. Neither. do. I. I've enjoyed being able to just live for the past three weeks, and though I was still around and posting for previous obligations, it was good to fall asleep when I wanted to, not after I was done working. Alright, dudes. This week started off really awesome. I was on track, eating well, really clean, and it was like the heavens were singing. I was pretty bummed out about the .2 pound gain, and so I was ready to buckle down and get these 12.4 pounds DONE, y'know? I was shredding, running, doing my thing. Then Sunday came. It started with Robin's Eggs. and it kept going. and going. and going. I didn't even track a lot of it because I was either so ashamed of the stuff I'd eaten, or I just literally had no idea how much I'd snarfed down. I'm talking fast food, fries, the whole deal. It was an ugly few days :(. I don't know why I couldn't stop. It was just a compulsion that felt uncontrollable. So yesterday I was sitting at work, chatting with my boss. I want so badly to even remember what has happened this week. But I can't, and that's because I just made my newest side by side photo collage to celebrate... Hells YES I've lost 50 pounds! I can't believe it sometimes. It takes looking at before and after (during) photos of myself to help me realize just how far I've come. In celebration of hitting one of my biggest goals, I've got an updated photo for you guys! This just blows my dang mind, you guys. I know you have seen me in this same workout outfit a bazillion times (I really need some new tech shirts!), but I wanted to show you the difference in my body as much as possible. That's a lot of hashtags and @s isn't it?! It's super fancy pants, and super amazing, so it's worth it! So a while back I sauntered over to Mamavation to take a peek at what they had coming up. I always see the #mamavation hashtag all over my Twitter stream, so I finally decided to see what was up! I'm so glad I did, because while I was there I applied to be a part of a running ambassadorship with Omron Fitness. And guess what? They picked me! (They like me! They really like me!) So I received a strapless heart rate monitor from Omron Fitness (omg!), and the folks over at Mamavation have hooked us all up with a training plan that we can follow. Crushing records and having fun at the #SkirtChaser 5K!

So this past weekend, I learned a few things: I am not used to running hills and I am also not used to having water while I run -- hellooooo cramps! Aside from those two character-building incidents ;), the Skirt Chaser 5K was a great success! I had such a great time. I know it's fun to see pictures, so let's have at it! Cutest bib ever! Since the race was in Tempe (about an hour away from where I live), I just went early for packet pickup as opposed to doing it the day before. I showed up and got my bib, and my registration included a running skirt. I think that's such a better idea than a t-shirt! I'll wear this skirt a lot more often than I would a race tee. Anyway, I went over to the skirt pickup, and the gal behind the table asked me, "What size do you want? You look like you'd be a medium." Hold. the. phone. Medium. Me! And you know what? It fits! Weigh in Wednesday Weeks 29 and 30: Beast Mode and GoGo Juice

Well wouldn't you know it. I got my days confused last week and forgot to do my weekly weigh in post! That's the first time I've completely missed a weigh in since I started in July! I was so bummed when I realized it! Oh well, c'est la vie. Let's go. These two weeks have been pretty good! I feel like they've been a blur. Right now, my main focus is this weekend's Skirt Chaser 5K. It's my first timed race, so I'll be establishing my PR. I can't wait! I am so hoping for a 36:00 or better. On Saturday, I was able to get out of the house solo and run 3.1 miles around my subdivision. It was so awesome to run without the jogging stroller! I can't believe how much lighter I feel and how much more stamina I have. I'm sure that the reason I am able to go faster and longer is because I've conditioned myself by pushing that thing around with a 25 pound sack of potatoes -- I mean, Maisy -- riding along ;). So when I ran the Color Run last month, I swung by a few booths that looked interesting at the finish party. One of those was the Skirt Chaser 5K -- the name caught my eye!
